The Best and Worst Teams in the NFL

Welcome to SureCap Sports & Picks. Here you'll get advice and insight on the spreads we like in sports. I've been betting on sports practically my entire life. Although I don't consider myself a professional handicapper, I do win bets. I've also lost, but I've picked up some valuable tips and even developed a parlay system over the years. I've also written a book that I sell on Amazon explaining my system and I plan to upgrade that book real soon. I'm also working on another book for the NBA & NCAA basketball seasons.

This article is about today's best and worst football teams in the NFL. Here they are, but in no particular order.

(10 - 2) Although the Saints may have suffered a devastating loss in Thursday night's game against the Cowboys, they are still considered one of the best teams in football by many -- if still not the best. That may be true, too. You do have to question their efficiency on offense when they were able to be outscored by an ify Cowboys' offense. Hmmm.

(4 - 8)  The Falcons started out looking like a threat but don't seem to be raising any real hell anymore. There's a strong chance they may not even make the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Stay tuned.

(2 - 10)  The 49ers? I mean....shit!! Really? Although they may be good underdog picks. It just really depends on who they are playing. Duh! (Image Source: 247sports.com)

(5 - 7)  The Bucs seem to be on a two-game win streak. Don't know what this will really mean for the rest of the season, but right now they seem to be one of the leagues worst teams. (image source: tampabay.com)

(4 - 7 - 1)   Cleveland doesn't look to be having a breakout season this year either. However, they're still in the midst of a 18-year rebuilding process! Hang in there, Cleveland. They still may be a good underdog pick however. (image source: http://waitingformynextyear.com)

(6 - 6) The Broncos may not be out of this season just yet as they have proven some stay tuitiveness in their three-game win streak. The Broncos have a pretty balanced stat sheet being 3-3 on the road as well as at home. They are indeed a scary pick but they could pay big dividends as an underdog.(image source: http://actionnetwork.com)

(4 - 8) The Buffalo Bills sit one game above the New York Jets which has them sitting in the worse football teams 'column'. You can almost be sure to go against the Bills on any given Sunday. (image source: http://cincinnati.com)

(5 - 7) The Bengals have dropped their last 4 games changing their at one time best football teams status to one of the worst. While they may still have a chance, their remaining schedule is questionable of them having the ability to win out for the rest of the season. (image source: http://cincyjungle.com)

(8 - 4) The Chicago Bears have a promising season ahead of them if their defense can keep up the good work. Overall, the Bears have a +103-point differential which makes them a pretty good back as an underdog (+) or a favorite (-). (image source: bearswire.usatoday.com)

(3 - 9) The Cardinals have managed to win their last game quite possibly giving their fans something to hope for next year. However, in the latter weeks of the season, they may prove to be a good underdog pick. They are still one of the worst teams in the NFL. (image source: http://azcardinals.com)

(9 - 3) The L.A. Chargers have a very promising season ahead of them. They have a pretty good chance at the playoffs and could very be clinched already. I'm not real sure about betting on them because I haven't used them in a small parlay ticket situation yet. My hunch is that they are good choice to cover half the time. (image source: http://boltbeat.com)

(4 - 8) The Giants came up with a big win over the Chicago Bears, but it will be a little too late as the best they can do is win out with an 8 - 8 record. Right now, they have made our worst teams list. Not that the Giants are taking terrible beatings though; they are a good underdog (+) pick. (image source: http://beargoggleson.com)

(4 - 8) The Jacksonville Jaguars started out with what looked like a very good defense. Since that 40-7 annihilation they took from the Cowboys, they haven't been that impressive. However, they did win their last game. I look for the Jaguars to be a decent underdog (+) pick for the remaining weeks of the regular season.  (image source: http://nola.com)

(10 - 2) The Chiefs have had a wonderful season with its explosive offense. They are a cinch-to-clinch in their division; so to speak. However, they may not be the best favorite (-) pick. While their offense is A-1, their defense is still very suspect to giving up a large amount of points. They are still one of the best teams in the NFL under the guidance young QB, Patrick Mahomes, who is putting up impressive numbers every week. (image source: pennlive.com )

(6 - 6) The Colts are not in a bad position and I can't decide if they are one of the best teams or the worst yet. However, sitting only three games behind the Texans doesn't necessarily count them out yet either. The Colts may be a good favorite and underdog pick depending on where they are playing. Their at-home record is 4 -2 which makes them a pretty good pick in Indianapolis. (image source: http://colts.com)

(7 - 5) The Cowboys have really turned things around in the last 4 weeks winning all of their matchups. One of those wins last Thursday night against the high-powered offense of the New Orleans Saints proved they are one of the best teams in the NFL. There is talk about that juggernaut defense taking them to a Superbowl this year. Yeah, we'll see. (image source: bloggingtheboys.com)

(6 - 6)  The Dolphins' record tells their story pretty much. While they are exceptional at home, they are terrible on the road. They are truly a mix between the one of the best and worst football teams in the NFL. (image source: dailydolphin.blog.palmbeachpost.com)

(6 - 6) The Eagles are one of those teams similar to the Dolphins. They're not as good as the Dolphins are at home though. I would pick them in an underdog situation. They perform well as underdogs. (image source: http://nj.com)

(6 - 6) The Panthers sit at a neutral position in their division. Being in between one of the best and worst teams in the NFL. Some times they are a good pick and others -- they just aren't. There may be some light at the end of the tunnel for the Panthers though. They are still in 2nd  place in their division. (image source: al.com)

(4 - 7) The 2018 season hasn't gone anything like Packers' fan would've expected. In spite of a terrible record and being one of the worst football teams, they still are a good underdog (+) pick at the sportsbook. (image source: windycitygridiron.com)

(4 - 8) The Lions have had a rough go of things this year losing twice as many as they've won. This fact does place them in the worst teams 'column' and they are a sure pick to go against. The Lions normally do good in divisional matchups similar to the ones where they meet up with the Bears. (image soure: detroitlions.com)

(3 - 9) No telling when the Jets will get their sh-t together. I mean, they haven't been to a Super Bowl since Joe Namath played for them in the Stone Ages. Just kidding. It has been a while for this franchise as they've proven again to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year. The Jets are surprisingly enough a great underdog (+) team to bet with. I do wonder what the hell are they clowning about? They probably lost this damn game too! (image source: news.sportsinteraction.com)

(9 - 3) Without question, the Patriots are still one of the best teams in the NFL. They may not be the greatest pick for a favorite (-) every week, but they still get the job done to get where they are going. Could they make it to another Super Bowl this year? (image source: http://sbnation.com)

(2 - 10) Well, this just kinda goes without saying. The Raiders are, in my opinion, the worst team in the NFL. It may serve you well to go against the Raiders every week. It probably couldn't hurt. I can remember a time when the Raiders were a very good underdog (+) pick, but this year is totally different. They just flat out....suck! (image source: reviewjournal.com )

(11 - 1) The L.A. Rams have earned the right -- at least by record, anyway -- to be called one of the best football teams in the NFL. The reason I don't think they are the best is because of their defense. Just like the Chiefs and the Saints, they tend to give up points to fairly decent offenses. The battle for other teams is trying to match scores with this high-powered offense. (image source: losangeles.cbslocal.com )

(7 - 5) The Ravens are not out of this season by a long shot. They are on a 3-game win streak and they are still one of the best teams in the NFL. Having said that, they are not a great favorite (-) pick, but they may still be exceptional for the money line (or Straight) bet. (image source: libyarockart.com)

(6 - 6) Having dropped their last 3 games, the Redskins don't seem to be headed on that once positibe road to the playoffs.  Dropping to .500 play, the Redskins still may be one of the best teams -- or they just may becoming one of the worst teams in the NFL. Time will tell as their schedule doesn't look so much like a walk in the park anymore. (image source: http://profootballfocus.com )

(7 - 5) Improving their Win/Loss record from 4 - 5 to 7 - 5, the Seahawks look to surprise the early naysayers of their season. Seattle still shows a sign of being one of the best teams. They are anxious to let opponents know that they are not going down without a fight. (image source: http://chatsports.com  )

(7 - 4 - 1) Pittsburgh is trying to make their mark into the playoffs this year. After a disappointing tie at the beginning of the season with the not-so-great Browns, the Steelers have somehow found a way to come out smelling like a rose and looking like one of the best teams this year. Although, they had a few mishaps this season, they are a pretty good favorite (-) pick outside of their division. (image source: steelers.com )

(7 - 5) Houston has surprised many football views this year; including their homestate fans. Houston has played exceptionally well this year upsetting the Cowboys earlier this year. Houston is determind to finish the season as one of the best teams in the NFL this season. (image source: http://365thingsinhouston.com )

(6 - 6) Although the Titans managed to pull out a hard-fought battle in Dallas, they have not looked so convincing on offense in the past weeks. They are slowly but surely losing their edge, even though they are one of the best teams in the NFL. The Titans are a great underdog (+) pick. (image source: http://titansonline.com )

(6 - 5 - 1) Only 1 game behind the Bears, Minnesota fans still believe they have one of the best teams in the NFL. Playoff hopes are high in the state of Minnesota. They probably have a legitimate beef -- or at least wishful thinking! (image source: spokesman.com )

That's the list. If you have any opinions about who the best and worst teams are, leave a comment.
